Matt Connelly is a nationally recognized media consultant with a passion for helping people and organizations tell their stories—and get them heard. Over the past two decades, he’s advised some of the country’s most well-known public figures, high-growth startups, non-profits, a multibillion-dollar global corporation, and even one Terminator.
Matt got his start in the fast-paced world of political media, running the executive newsroom for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in California. From there, he served in senior communications roles on the presidential campaigns of John McCain, Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney, and Scott Walker, and played a key role in electing Cory Gardner to the U.S. Senate in one of the closest races of 2014. That success led to his position as national press secretary at the NRSC, where he helped lead the national strategy to maintain a Republican Senate majority.
Since 2016, he has brought his political war room experience to the private sector—working with Fortune 500 companies, global brands, mission-driven non-profits, and local businesses alike. From managing media coverage and brand reputation for a global media corporation to helping startups navigate high-stakes PR moments, he’s known for delivering clear messaging, standout content, and real results.
Now based in Golden, Colorado, Matt leads a full-service media firm offering video production, photography, public relations, social media strategy, advertising, and podcast production. Whether he’s helping a local business get the word out or crafting a national media campaign, Matt brings energy, experience, and a creative edge to everything he does.
